2018 - LeBron James / Nike Staples Center Animated Takeover
CLIENT: NIKE
PRODUCTION CO: WIEDEN + KENNEDY (PORTLAND, oR)
In my last few months at Wieden + Kennedy, I moonlighted as Lead Producer for the Motion team to help streamline their workflow, monitor budgets and team goals, and help with hands-on projects. One such project was a massive takeover of the Staples Center (now Crypto Arena) for LeBron James’s first game for the LA Lakers. The project involved animating still photographs with various parallax effects, particle effects and colour correction and putting them together to tell his story. These had to be created in various formats for the multiple screens around and within Staples Center and distributed correctly so that the deployment team could sync up the entire production.
MY ROLE
Producer, in this case that meant:
Budget, scoping and team resource hiring and tracking
Liasion with the W+K Nike team to monitor fast-changing tech requirements and creative feedback
Tracking of each shot and format and ensuring our deliveries were accurate
